How to apply?
Application form and Reference letters:
[1] Please download the PDF-application form from here and fill it in. The application deadline is August 31, 2019.
[2] Please ask two of your professors or tutors who know you well to write a reference letter in English and send it as PDF to beyondtheexome@charite.de. In order to pair your application with the reference letter, please ask the referees to adhere to the following naming convention: YOURLASTNAME_YOURFIRSTNAME_reference.pdf.
Attachments:
[1] Please write a one page motivation letter in English and explain why you would like to do research at our research unit.
[2] Please scan your Bachelor degree certificate, transcript, and the abstract of your Bachelor thesis.
[3] Please scan your Master degree certificate, transcript, and the abstract of your Master thesis.
[4] If you already carry a PhD degree, please scan your PhD degree certificate, transcript, and the abstract of your PhD thesis.
[5] Please generate a single PDF file with all the information in the above order and name it: YOURLASTNAME_YOURFIRSTNAME_attachments.pdf.
Submission:
[1] Please email the two PDF files (please adhere to the naming conventions) to beyondtheexome@charite.de
What happens next?
[1] The application deadline is August 31, 2019. Thereafter, the principal investigators of the research unit will go through your applications and select potential candidates.
[2] Potential candidates will by Skype-interviewed by our principal investigators.
[3] The most promising candidates will be invited to Berlin for a selection symposium, which will take place in mid of October.
[4] The finally selected candidates will be offered to start work on November 15th.
